Ubako [Hot Spring] - Ubako
One of the Seven Hot Springs of Hakone, located at an altitude of 854m on the northwest foot of the Hakone volcano in Hakone Town, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is said to have been discovered at the end of the Heian period, and was known as a mountain hot spring in the Edo period. Alum spring. 40-78℃. It is said to be effective against eye diseases. A quiet resort, accessible by Hakone Ropeway and bus from Sounzan.
