Mimanaya [village] - Minmaya
An old village in the northwest of the Tsugaru Peninsula, Higashitsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture. Sanmaya, in the center, was a base for travel to the Matsumae Domain in Ezo (Hokkaido) during the Edo period. It is the terminus of the Tsugaru Line. A construction base for the Seikan Tunnel was built at Tappizaki, and after the tunnel opened, Tappi Kaitei Station on the Kaikyo Line was established there. In March 2005, it merged with Kanita Town and Hiradate Village in Higashitsugaru District to become Sotogahama Town. 65.27 km2 . 2,729 people (2003).

青森県東津軽郡,津軽半島北西部の旧村。中心の三厩は江戸時代,蝦夷(えぞ)地(北海道)松前藩への渡航基地であった。津軽線の終点。竜飛崎(たっぴざき)には青函トンネルの工事基地が建設され,トンネルの開通後,海峡線の竜飛海底駅が設置された。2005年3月東津軽郡蟹田町,平舘村と合併し町制,外ヶ浜町となる。65.27km2。2729人(2003)。
