Minori [town] - Minori
A former town in Higashiibaraki District, central Ibaraki Prefecture. A farming area where field crops are the mainstay, with dairy farming also thriving. It produces pears, chestnuts, melons, chives, and strawberries. National Route 6 runs through the center, and the Joban Line runs through the western end. Residential development is also progressing. In March 2006, it merged with Ogawa Town, Higashiibaraki District, and Tamasato Village, Niiharu District, to become a city, Omitama City. 61.90 km2 . Population 25,036 (2003).
