Mizuma-so

Japanese: 三潴荘 - みづまのしょう

A manor in Chikugo Province (present-day southern Fukuoka Prefecture). The manor area covered the entirety of Mizuma County under the Ritsuryo system, i.e., the current Mizuma County and parts of Okawa, Kurume, Chikugo, and Yanagawa cities. The time of establishment and origin of the manor are unknown. At the end of the Heian period, the head family was Hoshogonin, and the Shijo family was the lord, and the manor contributed 600 koku of rice and 411 ryo of cotton as annual tax. At the beginning of the Kamakura period, Wada Yoshimori was temporarily appointed as the land steward, but in the later period, parts of the manor were given to the Yamashiro and Shirauo families of Hizen as reward land for the Mongol invasions, which created serious conflicts with the local lords.

筑後国(現，福岡県南部)の荘園。荘域は令制の三潴郡全域すなわち現三潴郡と大川，久留米，筑後，柳川各市の一部におよぶ。立荘の時期，由来は不明。平安末期には宝荘厳院（ほうしようごんいん）を本家，四条家を領家として年貢米600石，綿411両を貢進した。鎌倉初期に一時和田義盛が地頭に補任されたが，後期には一部が元寇の恩賞地として肥前の山城氏，白魚氏などに給されたため，在地領主との間に深刻な対立を生みだした。
