Mizushima Nada

Japanese:
Mizushima Nada

Located in the center of the Seto Inland Sea, this body of water is surrounded by the Kojima Peninsula in Okayama Prefecture, the Shiwaku Islands, and the Kasaoka Islands. A large area of the northern part of the area has been turned into land through reclamation and land reclamation in the lower reaches of the Takahashi River, forming the Mizushima coastal industrial area. In Shimotsui, Yobimatsu, Yorishima, and other areas, coastal fishing and shallow-sea aquaculture were thriving, but fishing has declined due to the deterioration of water quality caused by the creation of industrial areas.
