[1][１] A place name in central Hokkaido. It began with the opening of the Horonai coal mine, the oldest in Hokkaido, in 1879 , and developed as a coal mining town in the southern Ishikari coalfield. The Ikushunbetsu River flows through the town, and the town produces vegetables and rice. The Do-o Expressway runs through the west, and various businesses have set up shop there. It was incorporated as a city in 1957. [２] A district in the central-western part of Fukuoka Prefecture. In the Middle Ages, it was also called Mikasa District. It was merged with Chikushi District in 1896 and disappeared. (20-volume Wamyo-sho (around 934)) [３] An abbreviation of "Mikasayama (一)". [４] A Japanese first-class battleship that played an active role in the Russo-Japanese War. Built in England in 1902. It was the flagship of the Combined Fleet and is known for its great victory in the Battle of Tsushima. Its normal displacement was 15,140 tons. It had a speed of 18 knots. [1][一] 北海道中央部の地名。明治一二年（一八七九）道内最古の幌内炭鉱の開坑に始まり、石狩炭田南部の炭鉱都市として発達した。幾春別(いくしゅんべつ)川が流れ、蔬菜・米を生産。西部を道央自動車道が通り、各種企業が進出している。昭和三二年（一九五七）市制。[二] 福岡県の中西部にあった郡。中世には御笠郡とも。明治二九年（一八九六）筑紫(ちくし)郡に統合されて消滅。〔二十巻本和名抄（934頃）〕[三] 「みかさやま（三笠山）(一)」の略。[四] 日露戦争で活躍した日本の一等戦艦。明治三五年（一九〇二）イギリスで建造。連合艦隊の旗艦で日本海海戦の大勝利により知られる。常備排水量一万五一四〇トン。速力一八ノット。現在は横須賀市の三笠公園内に固定保存されている。[2] 〘名〙① 香木の名。分類は伽羅(きゃら)。② 「みかさづけ（三笠付）②」の略。※政談（1727頃）一「面々に義味・我慢を立て、面々構になる事にては、博奕・三笠等の詮議も成らず」
