Khalihl Malekī

1901‐69
Iranian politician. Born in Tabriz. He was baptized into Kautsky's social democratic ideology while studying in Germany. After returning to Iran, he worked as a teacher at a secondary school, but in 1937, he was arrested along with Taghī Alānī and others as one of the "53" suspected of violating anti-communist laws. After his release, he helped found the Tudeh Party (Iranian Communist Party), but later left. During the struggle against nationalization of oil, he formed a third force, Nīrū‐ye Sevvom, and supported Mossadegh. He is also known as an enthusiastic promoter of centralization and Persianization policies.

イランの政治家。タブリーズ生れ。ドイツ留学中にカウツキー流の社会民主主義思想の洗礼を受ける。帰国後は中等学校の教師を務めるが，1937年，タギー･アラニーらとともに反共法違反の嫌疑をかけられた〈53人〉の一人として逮捕される。釈放後トゥーデ党(イラン共産党)の結成に加わるが後に脱党。石油国有化闘争期には自ら〈第三勢力Nīrū‐ye Sevvom〉を結成し，モサッデクを支持した。熱心な中央集権化･ペルシア語化政策の推進者としても知られる。
