An affiliated organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. It conducts research on Marxism-Leninism, publishes Communist Party Congress decisions and party-related materials, and publishes works by Marx, Engels, Lenin, and others. Located in Moscow, the Marx-Engels Institute and the Lenin Institute merged in 1931 to become the Institute of Marxism-Engels-Leninism, and in 1956 the Institute of Marxism-Leninism.
