Mr. Machino - Machinouji

Japanese: 町野氏 - まちのうじ

A medieval samurai family. Descendants of the Miyoshi clan, who served as stewards of the Monjusho in the Kamakura Shogunate. They were also appointed to the Muromachi Shogunate, hereditarily succeeded as steward of the Monjusho, and were also appointed to the Council of Councilors. Their family name was in Machino, Gamo County, Omi Province. The family name appears in the Taiheiki and in registries such as the Eikyou Era Bancho and Bun'an Nen Chu Bancho. At the end of the Kamakura period, Yasuyuki (grandson of the Monjusho steward Yasumochi) moved to Ikue County, Chikugo Province, and their lineage was established here, and their activities as vassals of the Otomo clan during the Sengoku period can be seen. As a result, documents such as the Monjusho documents and the Monjusho Machino family genealogy can be found in the Chikugo region (southern Fukuoka Prefecture).

中世武家。鎌倉幕府問注所執事三善氏の子孫。室町幕府にも登用され，問注所執事を世襲し，評定衆にも任ぜられた。名字地は近江国蒲生郡町野。一族の名が《太平記》や〈永享以来御番帳〉〈文安年中御番帳〉などの番帳類にみえる。鎌倉末期，康行(問注所執事康持の孫)が筑後国生葉郡に下向して以来，その系統がここに土着，戦国期に大友氏の家臣としてその活動がみえる。そのため，現在，筑後地区(福岡県南部)に《問注所文書》《問注所町野氏家譜》などがある。
