A god who appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki. He appeared when Izanagi-no-Mikoto, who had fled from the underworld, performed a purification ritual. He is a god who symbolizes "impurity" and brings misfortune. In the "Kojiki," the two gods Yasomagatsuhi-no-Kami and Omagatsuhi-no-Kami are said to have appeared.
