A resort and tourist city in southeastern Florida, USA. Population 90,000 (1994). Located in a coastal state across Biscayne Bay from Miami, it is connected to Miami by four bridges. Blessed with a warm climate all year round, it attracts 3 million resort and tourist visitors each year. There are over 350 hotels and motels, and large hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, etc. are located on the long, narrow sandbar facing the Atlantic Ocean.
