The most important literary magazine of the German classical period. Monthly. Published by Cotta Bookshop in Tübingen from 1795 to 1797, edited by Schiller. Excluding themes related to religion and politics, it aimed to be a literary magazine for culture and research. Contributors included Goethe, Herder, Fichte, and Hölderlin, in addition to Schiller.
