Japanese: 払田柵遺跡 - ほったのさくいせき

An archaeological site located in Senboku-cho, Akita Prefecture (present-day Daisen City). The remains of a castle fence (historic site) were established in the late Nara period or early Heian period for the management of the Tohoku region, but do not appear in historical documents. There is also a theory that it is the remains of Ogachi Castle. The outer fence, measuring approximately 3,640m in length, runs around the area in an oval shape, with an inner fence running in a straight line on the north side of the Nagamori Hills in the middle. The remains of gates can be seen in four places on the north, south, east and west of the outer fence, as well as in the center of the inner fence. The fence is made of thick square cedar timbers. Many wooden tablets have also been excavated.

秋田県仙北町（現・大仙市）にある遺跡。城柵跡（史跡）は奈良時代後期か平安初期に東北地方経営のために設けられたものであるが史料には登場しない。雄勝(おがち)城跡とする説もある。全長約3640mの外柵が楕円形にめぐり，中の長森丘陵の北側に一直線に内柵がある。外柵の東西南北４ヵ所と内柵の中央に門跡が認められる。柵は太い杉の角材を並べている。木簡も多数出土している。
