A collection of hauta (traditional Japanese folk songs) and kouta lyrics. Compiled by Matsui Joya. A collection of popular songs from Kyoto and Osaka in the late Edo period, it was compiled as a handwritten copy in 1822 (Bunsei 5). In addition to the ordinary hauta songs from Kyoto and Osaka, there are sections on provincial country songs, casual songs, playful songs, and fun songs, making it valuable as a source of information on folk songs and the lifestyles of the general public. The breadth of coverage makes it a valuable contemporary document. Included in Volume 2 of the Kouta Bunko (1927) compiled by Yuasa Chikusanjin. [Nagao Kazuo]

端唄（はうた），小唄の詞章集。松井譲屋編。江戸後期の京都･大坂の俗曲を収録したもので，1822年(文政5)に筆写本として成立した。京坂の普通の端唄のほかに〈国国田舎唄の部〉〈ばれ唄の部〉〈おどけ唄の部〉〈きやり唄の部〉があり，民謡や民衆生活意識の資料としても価値がある。取材範囲の広さの点で，同時代の文献として貴重である。湯浅竹山人編《小唄文庫》第2編(1927)に収録。【長尾一雄】
