Suturing
(1) suture: To stitch together, especially to close a wound from an injury or an incision made during surgery. This is done using a suture needle, needle holder, and suture thread. Materials used for suture thread include synthetic fiber threads such as silk thread, tetron, Teflon, nylon, and polypropylene, as well as silver wire, and absorbable suture materials that are broken down and absorbed in the body, such as catgut, collagen thread, and polyamino acid thread. Other special materials such as metals and adhesives are also used. (2) bone suture: Anatomically, it refers to a part of the bone connection pattern seen in the skull.
