Ise Shomon Gate

...A school of haiku. A school of Shomon (Ise Shomon) centered around Ryoto and Otsuyu that flourished from the end of the 17th century to the beginning of the 18th century in Ise, where haiku had been popular since Arakida Moritake. It was also called the Bakurin school after Otsuyu's other name, the Country Shomon in contrast to the Edo Shomon, and the Shibaku school after adding the Shiko school.
