The record of the protection of the government
Written by Kuriyama Senpo. 2 volumes. Completed in 1688. Published in 1716. Presented to Prince Hachijo Hisahito. A commentary on the 38 years from roughly the Hogen era (1156-1159) to the Kenkyu era (11990-11999). Attempts to explore the origins of samurai politics and the causes of the decline of the Imperial family, and describes the desire to establish morality and restore the monarchy. Included in the "Nihongaku Sosho" and "Dai Nippon Bunko" collections.
