Poetry of the borderlands

〘noun〙 A type of Chinese poetry that deals with the things and life in frontier areas. It expresses the feelings of soldiers who went to war on the frontier and the sorrows of their families left behind. It became popular along with landscape poetry during the height of the Tang Dynasty in China. Famous poets of this style include Wang Changling, Gao Shi , Cen Shen , Wang Zhihuan, Cui Hao , Li Qi , and Wang Han . 〘名〙 漢詩で、辺境の地の事物や生活を題材とした詩。辺境に出征した兵士の情や残された家族の悲しみを詠じる。中国の盛唐期に、山水詩と並び盛んになった。王昌齢、高適(こうせき)、岑参(しんじん)、王之渙、崔顥(さいこう)、李頎(りき)、王翰(おうかん)らが名高い。
