A military commander in the late Sengoku period. His name was Akitsura. He was a member of the kabanshu (military vassals) of Otomo Yoshishige (Sorin) and was known as a brave general. In 1563 (Eiroku 6), he played an active role in the peace process with the Mori clan. He killed Tachibana Akitsune, lord of Hana Castle in Chikuzen Province, and in 1571 (Genki 2), inherited the Tachibana family name and ruled the entire Chikuzen province. He died in 1585 in a camp at Kitano, Takarayama, Chikugo. Dosetsu is said to have commanded the army while riding in a palanquin because he had injured his foot after being struck by lightning when he was young, but some theories question this. 戦国末期の武将。名は鑑連（あきつら）。大友義鎮(宗麟)の加判衆で勇将として武名をはせた。1563年(永禄6)毛利との和平に活躍。筑前国立花城主立花鑑鎮を討ち，71年(元亀2)立花の名跡を継ぎ筑前一国を支配した。85年筑後高良山下北野の陣中に没した。道雪は，若くして雷にうたれて足を傷つけたため手輿に乗って軍陣の指揮をしたとされるが，疑問視する説もある。【高木傭太郎】
