A Milanese liberal aristocrat. Seeking freedom and independence for Lombardy, which came under Napoleon's rule and then under Austrian control after the Congress of Vienna, he pursued a political movement while maintaining contact with the secret societies of the time, such as the Carbonari Party. After his connection to the Piedmontese Revolution in 1821 was discovered, he was arrested by the Austrian police and sentenced to life imprisonment after a major trial, but regained his freedom in 1837. ミラノの自由主義貴族。ナポレオンの支配下，次いでウィーン会議後にオーストリアの支配下に入ったロンバルディアの自由と独立を求めて，カルボナリ党など当時の秘密結社運動と接触を保ちながら政治運動を進める。1821年のピエモンテ革命とのつながりが発覚してオーストリア警察に逮捕され，大規模な裁判ののち終身刑に処せられたが，37年に自由の身を取り戻した。【北原敦】
