A pass in the northeast of Shanxi Province, China, northeast of Mount Wutai. It is famous as a strategic location that controlled the Central Plain. In the early stages of the Sino-Japanese War in 1937, the Eighth Route Army led by Lin Biao intercepted the Japanese army and won its first victory.
