Flare Star - Flare Star
Also called a flashing star. A type of variable star that increases in brightness irregularly and suddenly, then returns to its original brightness within a short time. It is thought to be caused by a mechanism similar to the solar flare. UV Ceti, RS Cana Venatici, etc.
