A type of plesiosaur discovered in 1968 from the Futaba Group (Late Cretaceous) in Itagizawa, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. It had a long neck, fin-like limbs, and lived underwater. It was named after the place of discovery and its discoverer, Suzuki Nao (a high school student at the time). The fossil was found to be almost complete, with a total length of about 7m. 1968年福島県いわき市板木沢の双葉層群(白亜紀後期)から発見された首長竜の一種。長い首をもち,四肢はひれ状となり,水中生活をしていた。発見地と発見者鈴木直(当時高校生)に因んで命名。化石はほぼ全身がみつかり,全長は約7m。
