〘Noun〙 A kanki (postscript) enclosed in a box at the end of a book. It was common in China during the Yuan and Ming dynasties, and can also be seen in books from the Edo period in Japan. It is common in Buddhist texts. If the postscript is one line, it is called a "tankō mokki" (single-line mokki), and if it is two lines, it is called a "doukō mokki" (double-line mokki). There are also "sankō mokki" (three-line mokki). Furthermore, those that use a lotus flower as a stand and its leaves as a roof are called "rendai mokki" (lotus stand mokki) or "renpai mokki" (lotus pai mokki).
