Born on February 4, 1879. Studied under Takuji Ogawa and Konan Naito. Traveled to China to investigate and wrote many books on Chinese history and geography, as well as "History of Japanese Folk Houses." In 1925, he became a professor at Sanko High School and Osaka High School. After the war, he served as a professor at Yamanashi University and Ritsumeikan University. Died on April 13, 1958. Age 79.
