Fusarium (English spelling)

Fusarium (English spelling)
A mold in the Moniliales imperfect fungi family, Pale Chromomycetes family. There are about 30 confirmed species. There are a variety of species, including parasitic and solitary, and they are distributed worldwide. Their conidia are crescent-shaped and have one or several septa, but when cultured, they often begin to form simple spores rather than this shape. It has also been experimentally confirmed that the conidial generation of some species of Gibberella and Nectria is of the Fusarium type.
