Auxiliary Education Section - Fǔ jiào biān (English)

Auxiliary Education Section - Fǔ jiào biān (English)
Written by the founder of the Yunmen sect of China, Mingjiao Daishi Kaisou. 3 volumes. Explains the role of Confucianism as a support for Buddhist ethics and its ideological basis. It consists of three chapters, "Genkyo (What is the teaching?)", "Kougenkyo", and "Kansho", and is included in the "Tsutsu Bunshu", Kaisou's complete collection of works. There is also a separate "Kyochu Fukyohen" (The Kyochu Fukyo Edition) with notes written by Kaisou himself, which was republished in Japan and influenced Gozan literature. In response to the Tang dynasty's Han Yu, who wrote works of the same name such as The Original Teaching, The Original Man, and The Original Way, in which he clarified the traditions of Confucianism and rejected Buddhism as heresy, the author asserts once again that the three teachings of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism share one principle. He succeeded the Hongmingshu and Guanghongmingshu, works on the same theme that had been written since the Six Dynasties, and wrote this work from the outset with the intention of it being incorporated into the Tripitaka, with the intention of pre-empting the anti-Buddhist movement of Song learning.
