Felipe [III] - Felipe

Japanese: フェリペ[3世] - フェリペ
Felipe [III] - Felipe
King of Spain (reigned 1598-1621). Son of Philip II. In 1609, he recognized the effective independence of the Netherlands. He expelled 500,000 Moriscos (Moors who converted to Christianity) from the country, which led to the decline of agriculture, and the national treasury was impoverished by foreign wars and extravagant spending. He also allowed his favorites to exercise dictatorial rule, hastening the country's decline.
