Metallic enamel

The British Standards (BS) calls it "metallic paint," while the agreement of the Thesaures of Paint and Allied Technology, an organization of nine paint technology organizations in the UK, the US, and Canada, calls it "metallic pigmented paint." This paint is made by mixing metal powder such as aluminum powder or bronze powder into a somewhat transparent enamel with low hiding power and high tinting power, such as lacquer enamel, acrylic resin enamel, or amino alkyd resin enamel. イギリス規格(BS)では〈metallic paint〉，イギリス，アメリカ，カナダ3ヵ国9塗料技術団体機関Thesaures of Paint and Allied Technologyの協定では〈metallic pigmented paint〉と呼んでいる。ラッカーエナメル，アクリル樹脂エナメル，アミノアルキド樹脂エナメルなど隠ぺい力が小さく着色力が大きい，いくぶん透明なエナメルに，アルミニウム粉や青銅粉などの金属粉を混入した塗料。
