Metallic enamel

The British Standards (BS) calls it "metallic paint," while the agreement of the Thesaures of Paint and Allied Technology, an organization of nine paint technology organizations in the UK, the US, and Canada, calls it "metallic pigmented paint." This paint is made by mixing metal powder such as aluminum powder or bronze powder into a somewhat transparent enamel with low hiding power and high tinting power, such as lacquer enamel, acrylic resin enamel, or amino alkyd resin enamel.
