Located in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture. Former prefectural shrine. The main deity is Susanoo-no-Mikoto. It was also called Hiromine Gozu Tenno Shrine and Buto Tenjin. It is said that Kibi no Makibi, in the Nara period, saw a foreign deity (Gozu Tenno) here after returning to Japan and founded the shrine. It is said that Gozu Tenno was later enshrined in Gion, Kyoto, and this shrine is also called the original shrine of Gion Shrine (Yasaka Shrine).
