…This is the fourth period of the Baikal Neolithic culture proposed by AP Okladnikov in 1950, and is dated to the late 3rd millennium BC to the early 2nd millennium BC. It was named after a group of burial mounds located on the left bank of the Kitoi estuary, a left tributary of the Angara River. The group was excavated by NIVitkovskii in 1880-81, and 24 graves were discovered. …
