1862?-1918 A Russian naive painter. Also known as Pirosmani. Born in Tiflis (now Tbilisi), Georgia, he painted signs for taverns, restaurants, and entertainment venues, and left behind paintings of the lives of ordinary people in Tiflis, as well as landscapes, still lifes, and animal paintings.
