Japanese: 広瀬[町] - ひろせ

A former town in Nogi County, eastern Shimane Prefecture. The main settlement is on the left bank of the midstream Iinashi River. During the Sengoku period, it was the site of Toda Castle, owned by the Amago clan, and during the Edo period, it was a branch of the Matsue Domain. In addition to rice cultivation, Wagyu beef is also thriving. The town also produces melons, flowers, shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, and is also involved in forestry. Hirose gasuri is a local specialty. In October 2004, it merged with Yasugi City and Hakuta Town, Nogi County, to form Yasugi City. ^{204.32 km2} . 9,167 people (2003).

島根県東部，能義(のぎ)郡の旧町。主集落は飯梨(いいなし)川中流の左岸にあり，戦国時代尼子氏の富田(とだ)城下，江戸時代には松江藩の支藩が置かれた。米作を行うほか，和牛の飼育が盛ん。メロン，花卉(かき)，シイタケ，タケノコも産し，林業も行う。広瀬絣(がすり)を特産。2004年10月安来市，能義郡伯太町と合併し，安来市となる。204.32km²。9167人（2003）。
