Japanese: 平所埴輪窯址 - ひらどころはにわかまあと

It is located in Hirasho, Yatamachi, Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. It is in a hilly area that borders the northern part of the Oo Plain, and was built on a gentle slope at the northeastern foot of Mt. Chausu, with its firebox facing the valley. It was discovered during a buried cultural property survey in conjunction with the construction of National Route 9 Bypass, and excavated by the Shimane Prefectural Board of Education in 1975 and 1976. There is only one kiln remaining, with a tunnel-like pit kiln structure. The top of the kiln body has been lost, but the remaining length measures 5.8m, width 1.2-1.55m, and the slope of the kiln bottom is 10-15 degrees.

島根県松江市矢田町平所に所在する。意宇（おう）平野の北部を限る丘陵地帯にあり，茶臼山北東麓の緩斜面上に，焚口（たきぐち）を谷に向けて築かれる。国道9号線バイパス建設工事に伴う埋蔵文化財調査によって発見され，1975,76年に島根県教育委員会が発掘した。窯は1基にとどまり，トンネル状の窖窯（あながま）構造をもつ。窯体の上部は失われていたが，残存長5.8m，幅1.2～1.55m，窯底の傾斜角10～15度を測る。
