Located at the northern end of Rome's Villa Borghese Park, this national art museum mainly exhibits Etruscan archaeology and art. Villa Giulia was a villa built by Pope Julius III in 1553, but became the national art museum in 1889 and remains so to this day. The museum's current collection is over 75,000 items. Among the main items is the clay statue of Apollo of Beio by Urca on the first floor, which, while being in the Greek Archaic style, displays a unique, strong vitality and movement, and the depiction of the folds of the garment and hair shows Oriental line carving.
