Japanese: 屛風ヶ浦 - びょうぶがうら

Sea cliffs are located in the northeastern part of Chiba Prefecture, between Choshi City and Iioka Town. The 40-50m high cliffs stretch for about 10km from Togawa in the east, passing through Inuwaka and Naarai in the west to Gyobu Cape on the western edge. The lower part of the cliffs is made up of Tertiary tuff, above that is a sand layer of the Narita Formation, and the upper part is made up of the Kanto Loam Formation. The contrast between the colors of the three layers and the Kuroshio Current creates a vivid and magnificent landscape. On the reclaimed land below the cliffs between Inuwaka and Naarai, Naarai Port and a coastal industrial area have been developed, and construction of a marina is also underway, scheduled for completion in 1999.

千葉県北東部，銚子市と飯岡町の間にある海食崖。高さ40～50mの断崖が，東の外川（とがわ）から西へ犬若，名洗（なあらい）を経て西端の刑部（ぎようぶ）岬まで約10kmもつづく。断崖の下部は第三紀層の凝灰岩，その上は成田層の砂層，上部は関東ローム層からなり，3層の色彩と黒潮の海との対照が鮮やかで雄大な景観を示している。犬若～名洗間の断崖の下の埋立地には，名洗港と臨海工業地が造成され，マリーナの建設も1999年完成予定で進められている。
