Chemical formula: H 3 AsO 4 . Also known as orthoarsenic acid. Diarsenic pentoxide As 2 O 5 is commonly known as arsenic acid. Arsenic or diarsenic trioxide As 2 O 3 is placed in nitric acid and heated until the generation of nitrogen oxide stops, causing oxidation. After filtering, the mixture is gradually heated to 130°C for evaporation and concentration, and then cooled to below 100°C to obtain crystals of H 3 AsO 4 ・1/2H 2 O. These crystals are colorless plate-like crystals with a melting point of 36°C and are deliquescent. They are easily soluble in water and ethyl alcohol. 化学式H3AsO4。オルトヒ酸orthoarsenic acidともいう。五酸化二ヒ素As2O5を俗にヒ酸ということもある。 ヒ素または三酸化二ヒ素As2O3を硝酸に入れて酸化窒素の発生がやむまで熱して酸化する。一度ろ過してから130℃まで徐々に熱して蒸発濃縮し,100℃以下に冷却するとH3AsO4・1/2H2Oの結晶が得られる。これは無色の板状晶で,融点36℃,潮解性。水に易溶,エチルアルコールに可溶である。
