Born January 9, 1873 in Lady, Ukraine [Died] July 4, 1934. A Jewish poet born in Vienna, Russia. In 1891, he moved to Odessa, one of the centers of Jewish culture, and wrote poetry as a "national poet." In 1921, he left the Soviet Union and went to Germany, and in 1924, he emigrated to Palestine. His representative works are Yatmut (1934) (The Time of the Orphan) and Ha-Matmid (The Talmud Student).
