Banryoku

A haiku association magazine. Founded and presided over by Nakamura Kusatao in October 1946 (Showa 21). Permeated by his strong personality and ideology, it is a leading haiku magazine that is rich in Kusatao's style and explores humanity. Its basic approach is to sketch life, and while adhering to seasonal themes, it aims to burn in haiku the inner and ideological desires of people living in the modern age. Member Kozai Teruo was at the center of editing and management, and other members included Yone Kinnosuke, Kitano Tamio, Narita Senkuu, Isogai Hekiteikan, and Sada Hiromamoru. It is a magazine with a strong unity of Kusatao's followers. After Kusatao passed away on August 5, 1983, the magazine was managed by the steering committee, and Teruo was in charge of selecting miscellaneous poems. Publication has continued ever since, with the June 2000 issue being the 605th issue. The current editor of the poems is Senku Narita.

俳句結社誌。1946年（昭和21）10月、中村草田男(くさたお)が創刊、主宰した。その強い個性と思想性が浸透、草田男色の濃厚な、人間性探求の有力俳誌。写生を基本態度とし、季題を守りながら、現代に生きる人間としての内的・思想的欲求の句的燃焼を志す。同人香西照雄(こうざいてるお)が編集・運営の中心となり、余寧(よね)金之助、北野民夫(たみお)、成田千空(せんくう)、磯貝碧蹄館(いそがいへきていかん)、貞弘衛(さだひろまもる)らが同人として活躍。草田男信奉者の結束強固な雑誌である。1983年8月5日草田男が死去してからは運営は運営委員会が、雑詠選者は照雄があたった。以後、発行は継続され、2000年（平成12）6月号で605号を数える。現在の雑詠選者は成田千空があたっている。
