Panlong Castle Site (English: Panlong Castle Site)

Japanese: 盤竜城址 - ばんりゅうじょうし（英語表記）Pán lóng chéng zhǐ

The remains of an ancient Yin dynasty city on the north shore of Panlong Lake in Huangpi County, Hubei Province, China. It was discovered in 1954, and a full-scale excavation survey was conducted by Peking University and Hubei Provincial Museum in 1974. The site of the ancient city is reported to be nearly square in shape, measuring approximately 290m north to south and 260m east to west. There is a slight elevation in the northeastern part of the city, and several palace sites have been discovered in this vicinity. The soil layer that serves as the base for the Panlong city site is divided into eight layers, and from layers 4 to 6, gray pottery artifacts such as 'reki', 'gen', 'ka', 'ki', 'tou', 'daguchi', and 'son' have been excavated.

中国，湖北省黄陂県の盤竜湖北岸にある殷代古城址。1954年に発見され，その後74年に，北京大学および湖北省博物館の手によって本格的な発掘調査が行われている。古城址は，平面正方形に近く，南北約290m，東西約260mと報告されている。城内北東部には微高地が存在し，この付近でいくつかの宮殿址が発見されている。盤竜城址の基準となる土層は8層に分かれるが，そのうちの4～6層からは，灰陶の鬲（れき），甗（げん），斝（か），簋（き），豆（とう），大口尊，尊などの遺物が出土している。
