The first Dutch-Japanese dictionary published in the late Edo period
Published in Edo in 1796. There are two versions, a 13-volume version and a 27-volume version. It was translated by Inamura Sanpaku with the help of Dutch interpreter Ishii Kouemon and others, based on the Dutch bookseller Halma's Dutch-French Dictionary. It contains approximately 80,000 words. In Nagasaki, the head of the Dutch trading post, Zoof, also compiled a more detailed Dutch-Japanese dictionary from the same Dutch-French dictionary, so to distinguish between the two, the former is called "Edo Haruma" and the latter "Zoof Haruma."

江戸後期に刊行された最初の蘭和辞書
1796年江戸で刊行。13冊本と27冊本の２種ある。オランダの書籍商ハルマの『蘭仏辞典』を稲村三伯が中心となりオランダ通詞石井恒右衛門らの協力を得て翻訳。語数約８万語。長崎でもオランダ商館長ズーフが同じ蘭仏辞典からさらに詳しい蘭和辞典を編纂したので，区別して前者を「江戸ハルマ」，後者を「ズーフハルマ」とも呼んでいる。
