...The flowers come in a wide variety of colors and are used as potted plants. There are about 100 known species of Fuchsia (lady's eardrop), most of which are native to Central and South America (four species in New Zealand and one in Tahiti). Among them, F. magellanica Lam. is used as one parent, and F. coccinea Dry. and other species have been crossed and selected, and are widely cultivated as horticultural plants under the name Fuchsia (illustration) or Hoksha.
