A town in Tsukubo County in the southern part of Okayama Prefecture. The Uno Line runs through it. It was once an island, but since the Tensho era, land reclamation has progressed, and rush grass and cotton have been cultivated there. It is a junction of the Sanyo Expressway and the Setouchi Chuo Expressway, and the large Okayama Prefectural General Distribution Center has been built there.
