In sculpture, there were Cellini, who refined the techniques of the High Renaissance and shared Parmigianino's aesthetic fantasy, Bartolomeo Ammanati (1511-92), and Giovanni da Bologna, who reached the highest level of virtuosity somewhat later. The Venetian Alessandro Vittoria (1525-1608) and Sansovino could be said to be in the position of Titian in painting.
