Haya - Haya

Japanese:
Haya - Haya

Among the freshwater fishes belonging to the order Cypriniformes and family Cyprinidae of the class Osteichthyes, those with slim-bodied swimming abilities are commonly known as haya or hae. This is different from the academic name. In the Kanto region, ugui is called haya, while in the Kansai region, kawamutsu and oikawa are often called hae or haya. There are various theories on the origin of the name, including one that suggests that it means "haya (fast)" or "hayame (fast)" because of the swift way these fish swim, one that suggests that the noun form "hae" of "hayu (fast)" further evolved to "haya" because of the same characteristic, and one that suggests that it evolved from "hauo (leaf fish)" to "haio" to "hai" to "hae" because of their appearance.

There are dozens of species of flies, including white flies, red flies, red flies, or orb flies, or orb flies, and names that describe characteristics such as body color, habitat, or habits. These include brown flies, red flies, orb flies, mud flies, willow flies, pit flies, oil flies, and dung flies.
