Carnelian

...White or pale gray chalcedony is the main raw material for colored stones. The pale blue chalcedony used for jewelry is called blue chalcedony, and the solid red one is called carnelian. Red and white striped agate is called sardonyx, which symbolizes marital happiness and harmony, and is the birthstone for August.
