Born: November 26, 1883. Szekszard Died: August 4, 1941, Budapest Hungarian poet, novelist, and critic. He started out as a Symbolist poet, and led the artistic movement as editor of the magazine Seijo. Influenced by Nietzsche and Bergson, his works show a deep intellectual philosophical quality. In addition to the poetry collection Recitativ (1916), The Book of Jonah (37-38), and the novel Sons of Death (27), he also wrote Az európai irodalom története (34) and an excellent translation of Dante's Divine Comedy.
