...It is thought to have been produced in the early 13th century, and is said to have been written by Fujiwara Nobuzane, but there is no definite proof. The "agetatami-bon" version, which is considered to be on par with the Satake-bon and has a similar format, is thought to have originally been a two-volume picture scroll, but it was circulated as a fragment from an early period, and the kasen were painted on a tatami mat, hence the name. It is thought to be of the same lineage as the Satake-bon, but there are subtle differences, such as the solemnity of the expression replacing the relaxed generosity of the Satake-bon. ...

…制作期は13世紀初めころと考えられ，藤原信実の筆と伝えられるが確証はない。佐竹本と並び称せられ，ほぼ同じ体裁をとる〈上畳（あげたたみ）本〉も本来は2巻の絵巻物であったと考えられるが，早くから断簡として流布し，各歌仙が置畳の上に描かれているのでこの名がある。佐竹本と同系統の一本と考えられるが，表現の謹直さが，佐竹本のゆったりとしたおおらかさに代わるなど，微妙な相違をみせている。…
