Basket Maker Culture - Basket Maker Culture

Japanese: バスケット・メーカー文化 - バスケットメーカーぶんか
Basket Maker Culture - Basket Maker Culture
One of the prehistoric cultures in southwestern North America, it is considered to be the first half of the Anasazi culture. It developed on the foundations of the Cochise culture, which is considered to be a dessert culture. There are many unknowns about Phase I, so it is usually divided into Phase II and III. The Basket Maker II culture (100 BC - 400 AD) cultivated corn and pumpkins, but also relied on gathering wild plant seeds and hunting. It is thought to have been in the stage where the agricultural system in the southwest was forming. Settlements were small and often formed in caves or rock shelters.
