Impaired consciousness was defined as an inability to respond normally to external stimuli due to changes in attention and response patterns, but this has caused some controversy because seizure types that show mild impaired consciousness, such as affective seizures, amnesic seizures, cognitive seizures, and illusion seizures, were classified as simple partial seizures. …
